Belle of the Ball…

The sun has returned!! Yey, after a very wet week where my poor camera has barely seen the light of day! We had some lovely walks today, every member of the gang (am & pm!) was on top form. I am so truly blessed to be able to spend my days in the company of such gorgeous, happy, loving dogs. I’ll never need a therapist…ever! Feeling down? Well here’s 12 happy faces ready to give you cuddles and kisses!! 😀 Oh yeah…

I also have a new puppy lady to introduce today, her name is Belle and she is a four-year old Golden Lab. And as you can imagine, she is as sweet as pie and having a ball staying with us! She did three-hour long walks with me today, met ten new dogs (not including the ones we met out on our walks!) and didn’t bat and eyelid. Off lead from the word go, perfect recall, great manners in general! In fact the only thing we had to teach her today was not to jump out of the car boot until she is invited. Remember folks an open door should not indicate to your pooches to dash out! Teaching your dogs to wait until they are given the go ahead to jump out, down, go through etc is all about keeping your dog safe, and teaching them this rule can go a long way in seriously preventing nasty accidents from happening. Belle did brilliantly, she is definitely getting it and I bet by tomorrow she will wait when the boot is opened! After all, dogs just want to get that treat, or be told how amazing they are! I must give credit to Belle’s owner Paula, Belle is a fantastic dog with them most even temperament. When you spend time with a Labrador like Belle it is so easy to see why people love them…no not just love them, are obsessed by them haha!

Ruben is growing into a big strong lad! His Mum and Dad showed me a photo recently of his Dad, what a belter of a dog. Love watching this pup grow, can’t wait to do the comparison shot in a years time!

Easter Weekend…

Odd weather!!

My goodness the weather was certainly throwing us through a loop today! This morning it was sunny, then raining, then freezing cold gales, then sunny again…and repeat!! The conditions were literally changing every ten minutes, I’d no sooner got my body-warmer in my bag before I’d have to stop and pull it out again, geewizz…..

This lunchtime though it settled on sunny, woohoo!!! And the photographing could commence 🙂

Queen L.V. is with us for the weekend and has been very quick to resume her place on her throne (aka our queen sized bed!) At 13 this lady is more than welcome to sleep where ever she pleases. xXXx

White Fluffy Clouds…

YES YES YES to sunshine!! Blue skies and white fluffy clouds, get in!! So nice to come home and not need to strip off my sodding clothes at the front door haha. It’s definitely colder, but I will happily take chilly sunshine over muggy pouring rain!

It was the ‘working’ crew this afternoon. These guys have some energy about them! You have to be fit and active to keep them entertained. Lots of balls game, ‘seek’, swimming, cuddles, sitting and waiting for photos (then rewarded), the whole caboodle basically 🙂 I think I accomplished my goal well, by the end of the walk I had five nackard panting doggies and one very sleepy little Bichon.

Run, run, run, run , run…..

Jess laps all the other dogs easily, no wonder she would rather lie down than sit for her photo! Don’t let her fool you though, she could easily do at least another 10/15 miles on top of our walk I reckon! Little word of advice for getting a dog, if you don’t like walking/running/hill climbing or working on a farm…don’t get a Collie! Jess’s parents are professional runners, if that gives you any indication of the kind of commitment to exercise these dogs need. She is in the perfect home 🙂

More rain…and ‘The Dude’

Spoke too soon at the weekend, boy did we get wet today!! And muddy, no I mean seriously muddy!! I had to take Winston and Rocket-Dog swimming after the second walk as they were so muddy I couldn’t see how I would even get them from my front door to the bath tub without leaving a trail black sludge behind us!

This is little Murphy folks (say ‘Hi’) who is with us for just four short days. There is no other way to say this, Murphy is ‘The Dude’! He is literally the coolest little dog. Sat shotgun with me, slotted right in with the pack cool as a cucumber, off lead straight away, speaks perfect English….Not a dog, a wee-man in a dog suit.

I am very happy to finally be able to introduce Tillie! Tillie will be joining us every couple of weekends when her Mum has to work. She is a delight, four stone of sweetness, my goodness I love Bulldogs!!! I simply cannot wait for her to meet Maud-monster!!
