Cooling down…

Ahhh, much more like it today! The sun is nice for one day but quite honestly I am far too Scottish for this 29 degrees malarkey haha 😉 It was nice and over cast for the doggies today. Both the morning crew and the afternoon team were on top form. We met a lot of nice doggies and owners out in the parks and just had an all round nice day! Poor Winston somehow managed to cut his paw along the way, feel better soon Booboo!! xxx

Dolly-Mixture…

Two very full walks today and can I just say I am literally beaming at how well everybody did today!! Such well-behaved doggies making me so very proud. Must mention Hector and Lenny who were off lead for the first time today, fantastic recall, happy days!! It really was a great day. Everybody we met compliment the pack and said how surprising it was to see so many breeds together. Just for fun here is a list of all the breeds in our walks today:

Airedale Terrier

Bichon Frise

Cockapoo

French Bulldog

Labrador cross

Shih-poo

Whippet

Wire-haired Minature Dachshund

and of course Cocoa…..who is just a Cocoa 😉

Fun, fun, fun….

Konga-line of tongues…

The Black Panther has the toy and no-one is fool enough to take it from him! Except me of course who he gives it up  too freely, like a very good boy. The dogs however won’t chance it!

Lenny…

Welcome to the beautiful Lenny who will be joining us once a week on Flexi-Walks.

Lenny did really well today on his first walk, especially considering that he has separation anxiety and so is quite anxious about being away from his wonderful Mum, who rescued him from a very bad start in life (via the wonderful Scruples Whippet Rescue!).

We are going to work slowly and steadily with this lad, giving him as much time as he needs to trusts us and understand that walking with us is all about fun and good stuff! Also that he will indeed be going home again after the walk! Not back into a nasty kennel we promise Lenny! 😉

We made a very good start today. After five/ten minutes of gentle praise, cuddles and encouragement we had softer facial expressions, a relaxed open mouth, more relaxed eye contact and more interaction with the other doggies. He also began taking treats (a stressed dog has no interest in food). All in all a very good beginning for a sweet gentle dog.
